Marvin and Grady Jenkins appeared on 2 STARCADE! shows.
They won on their first show and we invited them back for one of our
STARCADE! Invitationals (where we invited champs back to compete against
each other).
Over the years we have lost one STARCADE! show ...
unfortunately for Marvin & Grady, that would be Show #35, Marvin &
Grady's first show. So we don't have any statistics on that show except we
know that Marvin & Grady won the competition and had a chance to play
for the Grand Prize, a Black Widow video arcade game. We know from the
Prize paperwork that they did not score the points necessary to win that
Black Widow video arcade game.

The pictures and video you see on this page are from
Marvin & Grady's Invitational show.
Marvin was 14 in 1983 when he appeared on STARCADE! He and
his Dad, Grady, competed against another Father/Son Team, John & Jay
Finch. In his bio, Marvin told us: "Right now I am studying Tae-Kwon
Do and my goal is to become a Black Belt in Karate ... I mostly enjoy
playing basketball with my Father."
Grady agreed, saying in his bio, "I enjoy playing
basketball with Marvin and we play video games at home quite a bit and at
various video arcades. Even though I'm not a real good player, I enjoy the
challenge."

Marvin checked in to tell us: "This website brings
back memories, I had the pleasure of being on the show when my voice was
changing."
"My name is Marvin Jenkins and my father Grady
Jenkins and I were on the show when I was 14. We did one show
and were called back for a tournament of champions show so we had double
the fun."
"Currently I am in the Air Force, stationed at Travis
AFB and I plan on retiring after 33 years of service in 2020."
"After getting rid of me to the military, my father
decided to move back south to his home state Alabama and slow down his
working pace and enjoy life in the country."
"Thanks for the memories!!!"
All the Starcaders out there thank you for the magic.
