Mike's Page

Contestant: Mike McEuen

Mike appeared on two STARCADE! shows. Show #14 was taped when Mike was 13  years old. He was a great player so we invited him back to play on a very special STARCADE! show #38 - a Dragon's Lair special. The ONLY game played was the laser disc game Dragon's Lair. Mike competed against three other STARCADE! champions.

Games on Mike's Show #14: Ms. Pac Man, Super Pac Man, Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong and Pac Man. Grand Prize: Popeye Video Arcade Game

Mike's opponent was Stephen Beall, who has also checked in.

Mike wrote in his mini-autobiography: "In my spare time: I drop rocks or explode Pookas and Fugars in Dig Dub, encircle the other lightcycle in Tron and get back at Mario in Donkey Kong Jr."

Mike showed up on taping day with a present - a STARCADE! maze (you know, mazes -- you try to get from point A to point B) ... and believe it not, we still have it! Take a look at the photo below.

Prizes won on Show #14 - Scisys Chess Computer game and Nintendo's Popeye Video Arcade Game (he says he still has it) Show #38 - Beamscope II

What's Mike doing today?

"I work freelance as a videographer and as a film
camera assistant on independent films and documentaries."

"I also have been making my own short films/videos since high school. I'll be moving to France for a while to be with my girlfriend, as well as to find work in my field."

"I still have my Popeye arcade game, with my high score at 256,000. I still play videogames, mainly on the Playstation, and I don't think I'll ever give them up. I thought I might 'grow out of them,' but I find myself still playing them until the wee hours of the night."
