Contestant: Stu Ganz

STARCADE! was not Stu's first Game Show. He had appeared on 'The Dating Game' and, as he said, "I lost - I thought there might still be hope with STARCADE!"

There was ... Stu won the overall competition on his show AND the opportunity to play for the Grand Prize - a Reactor video arcade game.

Stu was on one of the first STARCADE! shows - the 4th one we taped with Host Mark Richards. The show was aired as Show #6. His opponent was Cindy Porter.

Stu described himself as, "very energetic, never known to be shy - Am so interested in Video that I videotaped the entire birth of our daughter!" That was pretty impressive in the early '80s.

In his bio, Stu told us that his daughter (now 2 years old), "scores higher points (on video games ) than I do (not quite, but she's getting there!)."

Stu was a graduate of San Diego State with a major in Telecommunications & Film. He had worked in radio, both on-the-air and in Sales.

When he appeared on STARCADE!, he was working in Sales for a television station (no, the station did not air STARCADE!).

When he checked in to tell us he was still married (25 years now), had two daughters in college and a son just starting high school.

In 1994 he "received Worldwide publicity when I became the only one in the world to capture Michael Jordan's First Professional Homerun ... the video was aired on 'Hard Copy,' 'Dateline' and 'Real TV.'

From 1983 to 1995 Stu was the WWF (World Wresting Federation) Ring Announcer for the San Francisco Bay Area and had the opportunity to work with some of the top wresting names .... including Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage.

"I am also the co-producer of the Wrestling Gold Series, a collection of classic wrestling matches available on DVD and VHS.  Check out Stu's show at http://www.wrestlinggold.com.

Today Stu works for ATT Digital and was surprised to learn that STARCADE! was airing on ATT Digital on G4. It's indeed a small world.

Stu found the STARCADE! website by searching the web for his name ... and said, "I cannot believe you guys are still at it! What a surprise!"

No surprise, Stu ... STARCADE! magic lives forever. Your enthusiastic reaction to discovering the show once again is evidence of that!
