I can't believe I didn't know about the show when it was on TV. I would have flipped over it had I known. I was an AVID Atari, Coleco and home computer kid. Anyone for a Timex Sinclair sesh? LOL | |

New content will be added. As I talked with Mavis Arthur as they will add the episodes briefly taken off. To put them in a new and clearer episode thing. Hello, wanted to tell you all that I talked with a contestant from the show, Robert Goldman of #98. He really was nice and friendly to talk with me five minutes. And that he said that he had a blast with the show. People came up to him and recognized him from the show. He still like video games. Plays them with his two kids. He is a very successful inventor/etrenenpuener who invented downloading digital music. And now helping to treat cancer in San Jose, California. He still is a pilot as he mentention to Geoff on the show and has his own airplane. Thought I might give you all the heads-up on that. | |

My fav game of all time (its a tuff call) but Gyruss is just, just...well it makes me speechless! top score for me is 97 thousand on original arcade version, and 94 thousand on Xbox360 Arcade version. Yes I must agree both Mavis and James are very nice to give their time like this, and to put up a great web site to boot! ...i really appreciate and respect their approach to this amazing show! Yeah Geoff is great, I never really checked out Treasure Hunt much but i'll check some out online, thanks for the heads up:) Yeah im a huge video game fan these golden age games are amazing and its crazy to see many ideas from that video game age used today, I agree with you that new games are violent as all heck but I must admit I play those too, hehe. Hello Darkwon, my real name is Shelby. James and Mavis are super nice people. I have emailed them, on several occasions. And that, they answer you back. You need to try it. Really I guarantee it. Also, I loved the show, as a kid in Miami, at the time. Still do, and also think, Geoff Edwards rocks! Loved his other show, "Treasure Hunt!" He is one of my, favorite hosts. Anyway, old school games rock. They were for the family. Not as violent as, they are now. But don't tell that to, my nephews as they love those games LOL! This web site is an amazing tribute to a truely historical tv show. I'm so happy these boards are up now,and I hope people will reconize this site as a focus point to the video game revolution that birthed a whole new industry from Atari in the good old USA to the world in the late 70's and early 80's!! This is the golden age of video games in the flesh! Starcade captured the peek of the golden age video game era in a way no other mass mediem ever did! The arcade was always better than home games back then,**in part caused video game collaspe of late 83-84**, anyhoo Jim C. realized the action was the arcade:)I love STARCADE!! Great site, Take care, and I hope there is a mid 1983 Video Game Arcade in heaven!!:D (P.S. check out 3D arcade.com, and build your own arcades! My arcade only goes up to 1983!! lol) peace | |
